Carmen Tabernero
Carmen Tabernero is Full Professor of Social Psychology in the Faculty of Social Science at the University of Salamanca, Spain. From 2002 to 2016, she was Dean and Full Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Córdoba, Spain).
From a social-cognitive perspective, her main research interest is the analysis of motivational processes at individual and collective level (e.g., self-efficacy and collective-efficacy, goals, and emotional states) related to behavior (e.g., complex decision making processes; acculturation processes; or prosocial and pro-environmental behaviors). She has been the main researcher in different research projects on the motivational processes (cardiac self-efficacy, SESAMED, goals...) related to health behaviors (e.g., diet adherence, physical exercise) and life satisfaction in cardiac patients.
